Vintage US Navy Ships Binnacle - Beck Lee Corporation - NO COMPASS

For sale is a US Navy Ships Binnacle....It is just the dome part, there is no compass. It has a lot of wear and patina. The ID tag on the front is hard to read, it says ... US Navy Bureau of Ships, 3-5" Domehead Binnacle , Contract No. NXs-11126, Beck-Lee Corp, Chicago USA... This Binnacle has a lot of wear, there is no compass. It measures just under 9" in total height and is about 8" in diameter(measuring across the bottom) and weighs 9 1/4 pounds. It looks like brass, but there is a couple layers of paint on it. There is a spot on the front just above the ID tag that looks like a hole was filled/repaired. The doors on the lid don't quite close all the way, The bottom ring of the top piece has been shaved down in the two spots where the balls would have set. There are two bars on the bottom that are missing....So lots of wear and patina.
